Hello!  My name is Karen Clymer, 

​

Just to bring you up to speed, as they say: I started Wholesome Communication shortly after retiring from City of Lawton in late 2013, to do customer service training, which was a worthy cause.  However, now is the time for change.  My husband, George, is now an active part of Wholesome Communication. Together,  we are dedicated to using our gifts and talents for God’s glory, in various venues, (ie. Churches, Care centers, a family member or friend in need of cheering up, etc.) through the preaching of  God’s Word, uplifting music, singing, inspirational stories and last, but certainly not least - a kid favorite -  my ventriloquist figure/sidekick, Chesley,  who sings, flirts and delights to ’help’ me tell Bible stories from ‘his point of view’.  Bed time is not his favorite time.  He playfully insists there’s a Texas sized termite in his suitcase/house.  [Chesley is not only a kid favorite.  You would be amazed how many grown men request to see and hear Chesley.]  Personally,  I sense the Lord's direction for me,  to especially reach out and into small ladies groups with this ministry.

For informational purposes: George and I are both Assemblies of God ordained ministers.  We were full time Children’s evangelists before accepting the pastorate at First Assembly of God in Geronimo, OK in 1996 and where I served as his assistant until our retirement in June 2016.   Since our retirement, First Assembly of God, Elgin, OK. has been and continues to be our home church.  We are active members and participants there, helping Pastor Larry Thoma, any time and in any way we can.  

Community service:

• George and I are volunteers with Faith Hospice as well as Cedar Crest Manor, both in Lawton, OK.

• George is the owner of George’s Small Engine Repair in Fletcher.                                    

• Karen is a proud member of Toastmasters International, a communication and leadership organization.  She is a member of Chisholm Trail Toastmasters in Duncan, OK.  In July 2016 she achieved the level of Distinguished Toastmaster, (DTM), the highest award given by Toastmasters.   Yes, I am eager to help those interested in growing your communication and leadership skills.
