Pray On and On to Victory

Faithful child of God, Pray on and on to victory. Don't ever consider stopping. Even though and especially when Satan tells you over and over like a never ending train that you are, "worthless", "a failure", that, "you have accomplished nothing." And, most certainly that, "your prayers are in vain." On and on his accusations go reminding you of every wrong thought you ever had or wrong thing you've ever done. Sometimes he will put it in the form of a question. "What have you done?" "Who are you?"

How do you overcome his onslaughts? Oftentimes, we immediately begin saying something such as, "Get behind me, Satan. I am a child of God" or "that is my past, not my present." Yes, that is the truth, but sometimes the onslaught is overwhelming. This seemingly endless "train" must not be considered to be harmless. In my walk with the Lord I found the wise thing is to stop when the onslaught begins and call out to the Lord before it becomes a stronghold.

Don't give up! Keep on praying! Your prayers are reaching the throne even though it doesn't 'seem' that way. Consider Daniel, in Daniel chapter 10. He prayed and prayed and finally after twenty one long days, he heard from heaven. He learned that plenty had been going on in the heavenlies - V. 11 He said to me, "O Daniel, man of high esteem, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. 13"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. 14"Now I have come to give you an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to the days yet future." Just as Daniel's prayers were reaching the throne of God, ours are too.

Pray on and on armed with the whole armor of God. (Ephesians 6:11-20) It isn't enough to have it available, but not in use. We must have it on--all of it, not what we choose. The belt of truth -- the truth of God's word - living a life of truth, helmet of Salvation -- fill your head/mind/soul/ spirit with God's Word, a breastplate of righteousness, the righteousness of God, above all the shield of faith which is able to quench all of the fiery darts of the wicked one. The sword of the spirit - God's Holy Word.

Yes, child of God, arm yourself and pray on and on to victory! You are not alone. Do not give up when you don't feel or see what you think you should feel or see when you think you should feel or see the victory. There is a battle being raged in the heavenlies. Victory is sure! It is out of your hands into God's hands and His heavenly forces.
